Trick ‘r Treat in Haddonfield 2021
The city of Pasadena is home to many things: beautiful architecture, the convention center that holds many events, the streets where Michael Myers stalked and murdered people in the town of Haddonfield… Naturally this would be the perfect place for SugarMynt to hunker down and have gallery showings as well as movie nights, spooky events and best of all, being located right behind the home of Michael Myers!
Now, I had never been to the gallery before, I’m sure I’ve passed by when going to the convention center but when I heard about their latest event I had to check it out on Opening night! I dragged my boyfriend along with me as well so I could get some fun halloweeny pictures of me since I can’t take selfies to save my life lmao
Our first stop was the Strode Home located @ 1115 Oxley St 91030 Pasadena, California. The lady who owns the house has a laminated paper that shows BTS photos and a little blurb about the movie and probably my favorite thing is the plastic pumpkin she leaves out year round for folks to come take photos with!
We also stopped at Michaels home before going in because he’s never been and I wanted to be ~that~ girlfriend where I force him to do spoopy things with me
After that fun little detour we walked over to the gallery and my excitement levels were high! Since this was opening night they had some props and photo-ops that wouldn’t be available during it’s run so I was excited to get some different photos and experience something new!
Since this was Trick ‘r Treat in Haddonfield the mashups these artists created blew my mind! The life size Michael Myers that was used in Halloween (2018) Loomis Sam got the biggest reaction out of me and rightfully so! Look at that beard!!!!
I didn’t photograph EVERYTHING because I wanted to take it all in. Plus I like to leave things as surprises for folks. I can’t wait to revisit the gallery again and see what other themed events they have next!!
