San Francisco
I was watching a Joe Greer street diary video and it made me miss the feeling of going out and shooting. My mom, sister, and sister's friend decided to make a weekend trip up to SF and I wanted to try my hand at street photography. Needless to say, I became addicted instantly. These are all on my Nikon D7000 before I upgraded and let me tell you, this camera was a BITCH to carry around ahahaha
When shooting Digital, you can fire off 100 photos in like 10 seconds and it’s pretty forgiving which is great for starting out shooting street because you need to get comfortable bringing a camera out into the world. Surprisingly I was very comfortable with it and shot whatever was around me
Where I live there isn’t the hustle and bustle of city life. All these cars and streets filled with color and vibrancy was more than I could handle and I shot off so many photos but only these came out “good”
I loved walking through Chinatown during the day because while there weren’t many people out, there was a lot of fun things to see and I was constantly on the search for “the photo”
Pier 39 was full of tourists (ourselves included) and we spent a good amount of time gawking at the Seals hanging out, slappin’ each other and fighting for the best spot ahaha
We had walked to a different side of the street and these were the last photos I snagged on the trip. Looking back on these, I’m finding so many things I love about certain photos that I didn’t think about at the time. Maybe it was all luck, maybe I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Regardless, I’m stoked on these and can’t wait to make more!
