Evil Dead: 40 Years of Fear @ The Mystic Museum
A year ago I found out about The Mystic Museum and it’s very much up my alley. I had my first date with my boyfriend at Slashback Video and during this latest visit I had early access to the Evil Dead Exhibit that is going on through the rest of the year! Anxious and excited I packed my cameras, got my hydro flask and hit the road to Burbank, California. Upon arrival I saw the big tapestry out front that said Evil Dead: 40 years of fear and man was I excited! My stomach had butterflies, I couldn’t park the car fast enough and get over to the museum. There was no wait to get inside so I got my goodie bag which included a poster, some stickers and a sweet button!
Before I entered the exhibit I did some perusing around Camp Horror which is what you first see when entering Mystic Museum. It’s a horror fans wet dream! The amount of photo-ops they’re able to cram into this space is insane and I wish I had someone with me so I could’ve had photos of myself, selfies just don’t cut it anymore ;) The time had come to enter the exhibit and I was first in line for the next group to go! The usher let us know what to expect when going inside and reminded us to not touch the props or we may turn into a deadite…
While you wait to enter, the sliding doors are open just enough for the Evil Dead poster to creep through…and then the fun begins! I clocked in about an hour and a half inside this exhibit and while it’s not huge, I made my time worth it. There’s so much detail and small pieces you might miss because you want to see the huge ticket items. There’s no limit for how long you can be in here and for $15, it’s definitely worth your time.
Another fantastic exhibit in the books! I can’t wait to see what else The Mystic Museum has up their sleeves for next year!!
As always, you can check me out on Instagram! Thanks for reading :)
