Creep It Real (2021)

You’re telling me there’s a horror event in Orange County that is one day only with 100’s of vendors, cosplayers, the houses are actually haunted AND IT’S ONLY $12?! SIGN ME UP!

Events have been far and few between because of Covid (rightfully so) and I’ve been jumping at the chance to attend any and all events that pop up. I’m always worried about tickets selling out and luckily I grabbed my tickets early because Creep it Real did sell out. As Sunday approached I grew more excited to see everything, take photos and most importantly, have a damn good time because I deserve it during this weird spooky time!

As I walked in I was greeted by a giant pumpkin with fog spewing from every corner and that’s when I knew that I was home

First things first, find as many cosplayers as possible!

Left — Michael Myers // Middle Bello’s Haunt // Right — Bumpy the Clown

And it wouldn’t be a horror event without Arts Sideshow bringing some new props to show off. The gremlins were a huge hit, I loved seeing Spike and Gizmo and even Greta gremlin all together again

Now what’s a horror event without some live music? The Rhythm Coffin were having a blast and I loved seeing people dance, throw Styrofoam heads around and little Jigsaw joining in on the fun, man I missed doing this!

As the day went on and I realized it had been around 4–5 hours since I first stepped into Creep It Real, I felt like it was time to call it a day. I did one last walk around to make sure I didn’t miss anyone or anything cool and I ran into a few more cosplayers who I know would’ve bummed me out had I missed them!

As always, you can check me out on Instagram! Thanks for reading :)
